Liberty Counsel Fights for Kentucky Clerk’s Religious Freedom

(1 min Audio Report – Freedom’s Call)

A judge is forcing a clerk to provide marriage licenses to same sex couples against her deeply held religious beliefs.

The judge claimed that becoming an integral part of same sex marriage is somehow not condoning it.

Liberty Counsel, however, has obtained a stay that stops the effect of the ruling pending the appeal. This decision by the judge equates Kim Davis’s free exercise of religion to only attending church.

Christianity is not a robe you take off when you leave the sanctuary.  The driving force that brought settlers to the new world was gaining religious freedom. To abandon this, in preference to homosexual privileges discards our nation’s laws.

The First Amendment guarantees Kim Davis and every American’s full and free exercise of religion.
