Marriage Victory in NC
(1 min Audio Report – Faith2Action)
By a house vote of 69-41, North Carolina just overrode their Governor’s veto to allow public officials to say “no” to officiating homosexual so-called weddings if they have a religious exemption.
When issuing his veto, Governor Pat McCrory, a Republican, said the officials “swore to defend the Constitution” and perform their duties of office. But it seems Governor McCrory is not familiar with the First Amendment of that Constitution—the part about our Freedom of Religion.
Utah also has an opt-out, but nearly everyone else will face this assault on their freedoms if the Supreme Court rules wrong.
Ask your state legislature to protect marriage and your freedoms before it’s too late.
