Obama Criticized Jesus’ Words: Demand an Apology

(1 min Audio Report – Faith2Action)

Without a mention of Muslim beheadings, President Obama used the Easter Prayer Breakfast to call Christians “less than loving.”

He called the verses in Romans which condemn homosexuality “obscure.”

But now he’s actually condemning the words of Jesus.

Taking scripture out of context, Obama said, “And I think it’s important for us to guard against cynicism and not buy the idea that the poor will always be with us and there’s nothing we can do…”

Jesus’ words in Matthew 26 were not cynicism, nor was Jesus declaring there was nothing we could do to help the poor. Twisting the words of the Gospel to make yourself appear more compassionate than Jesus is not OK.

Call the White House and demand an apology at: 202-456-1111.
