Stand with Moore on Marriage

(1 min Audio Report – Faith2Action)

“Nothing in the United States Constitution grants the federal government the authority to redefine the institution of marriage.”

Those words are from Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore regarding U.S. District Judge Callie Granade’s decision to strike down Alabama’s marriage amendment, which passed in 2006 by 81 percent of the voters. In a letter to Governor Robert Bentley, Justice Moore said,

“I ask you to continue to uphold and support the Alabama Constitution with respect to marriage…Be advised that I stand with you to stop judicial tyranny and any unlawful opinions issued without constitutional authority.”
