Why is Modern Art so Bad?
A video from Prager University
About this course:
“Art is whatever an artist decides it is.”
“There is no such thing as objective beauty — there is only your personal opinion.”
You’ve probably heard these statements before — especially when you’re at a modern art gallery looking at an object you thought the janitor had forgotten, but that actually turns out to be the exhibit.
In this week’s video, art expert Robert Florczak talks about why the beautiful and the excellent in art have been replaced by the ugly and the offensive. Mr. Florczak is a professional artist and illustrator with decades of experience in commercial and fine art, advertising, and publishing. He is also an expert in classical painting methods (such as oil glazing) that are rarely taught in modern art academies.
