Outstanding Response To A ‘Gay’ Man Who Wants to Redefine Marriage

“Why should I, as a gay man, be denied the same right to file a joint tax return with my potential husband that a straight couple has?” The Heritage Foundation’s Ryan T. Anderson answers by explaining the differences between the law’s interest and civil rights as a basis for marriage.

In other words: If ‘civil rights’ are the basis for gay marriage, would it not also be discrimination to deny “marriages” to pedophiles, throuples and polygamists? As far as the law is concerned, none of these relationships are to be defined as marriages.
