CDC: Serious Disease Outbreak Among ‘Men Who Have Sex With Men’

Mother Nature must be a bigot. How else can we explain the fact that “she” is unfairly targeting the homosexual community with a whole host of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)? What a homophobe!

A recent report of the Atlanta-based Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), dated May 9 of this year, identifies the alarming trend of an “increase in syphilis among MSM [men who have sex with men]” as a “major public health concern.” But more than that, the latest available CDC information also reveals that since 1995 several STDs are quite literally exploding across the United States among homosexual men.

“The recent dramatic increases in infections, coupled with the observation that syphilis closely tracks with other diseases like AIDS, have the medical and scientific community deeply concerned,” explained following their review of the report.

In the prestigious Linacre Quarterly of the Catholic Medical Association, researcher Dale O’Leary reports that the problems of health among MSM are now “so vast and interrelated” that they are considered “syndemic, a linked set of health issues involving two or more afflictions acting in concert within a specific population.” Among MSM, the medical literature clearly indicates that these diseases include syphilis, gonorrhea, HIV/AIDS and other pathologies such as partner violence, drug abuse, and psychological disorders. Each of these physical and mental ailments represent only a single piece of the life-threatening puzzle.

The statistics of homosexual promiscuity don’t lie. In fact, they actually reveal the source of the problems that are being highlighted by the CDC report. When “gay” men play with fire — as is typically the case — they do inevitably get burned.

  • 83% of the homosexual men surveyed estimated they had had sex with 50 or more partners in their lifetime.
  • 43% estimated they had sex with 500 or more partners.
  • 28% with 1,000 or more partners.
  • 79% of homosexual men say over half of their sex partners are strangers.

Austin Ruse of reported the following on the latest CDC report:

According to the report, “During 2005-2013, the number of primary and secondary syphilis cases reported each year in the United States nearly doubled, from 8,724 to 16,663; the annual rate increased from 2.9 to 5.3 cases per 100,000 population.”

Most of the increases came from men who have sex with men, which were responsible for 77% of cases in 2009 but 83.9% in 2012, what the report calls “the vast majority of male … syphilis cases.”

However, the report warns that the current statistics are most likely far less than the true number because only 34 states and the District of Columbia fully report on the gender of sex partners.

As we consider the HIV/AIDS infection rate alone, the situation is extremely bleak.

From 2008 to 2010 the new HIV infection rate grew 12%, from 26,700 to 29,800 cases reported. One in five sexually active MSM carry the AIDS virus, but nearly half of those don’t even know it. However, HIV/AIDS is not the only problem, as the new CDC report on syphilis makes clear. According to the Linacre paper, “MSM are far more likely to be diagnosed with other STDs, some of which have become resistant to commonly used antibiotics.”

The paper reports on a 2004 outbreak of something called lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV), considered rare in the developed world prior to 2003, which includes “tender, enlarged lymph nodes in both groins.” A 2004 outbreak in the Netherlands among MSM has led to its spread in the European Union and the United States almost exclusively among the HIV-positive.

Another linked pathology is Hepatitis C, “which can lead to liver cancer, can be [sexually] transmitted and is spreading not only among HIV-positive gay men, but also among HIV-negative MSM.” Human papillomavirus is epidemic and has led to a “dramatic increase in anal cancer among MSM, especially those who are HIV positive.”

Included in this particular syndemic, according to the Linacre paper, are issues related to mental health, including higher risks of “suicidal ideation, substance misuse, and deliberate self harm than heterosexual people.”

Drug abuse is quite common among this population and feeds into significant risk factors. Ecstasy, crystal meth, ketamine (animal tranquilizer), poppers (amyl nitrate for sniffing), Viagra, and even more exotic items like GHB, a nervous system depressant, are used at higher levels among MSM than the general population.

Another cause for alarm concerns the MSM community’s considerably higher addiction rate to anabolic steroids. Much of this problem is attributed to the homosexual male’s desire to bulk-up their physiques in an effort to appear more virile and masculine to potential sex partners.

“Gay and bisexual teen boys use illicit steroids at a rate almost six times higher than do straight kids, a dramatic disparity that points up a need to reach out to this group,” researchers in the journal Pediatrics found. “Overall, 21 percent of gay or bisexual boys said they had ever used steroids, versus 4 percent of straight boys.”

Ultimately, there is no denying that the risky lifestyle choices and habits of homosexual men are at the core of the CDC’s startling report. When it comes to tacking these serious health problems, which represent a great threat to public safety, the following example is illustrative of the huge challenge we are facing.

In July of 2007, when Jim Naugle, the mayor of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, proposed that the city spend $250,000 on robotic toilets for the beach to curb homosexual sex in public restrooms and parks, the LGBT activists were immediately up in arms. (The doors of the toilets automatically open after an extended period of time.) The homosexuals instantly accused the mayor of “hatred” and demanded an apology. In response he did apologize, but not to the homosexuals. The mayor said, “I was not aware of how serious the problem was of the sexual activity that’s taking place in bathrooms and public places and parks in Broward County and particularly the city of Fort Lauderdale. I’ve been educated on that, and I want to apologize to the parents and the children of our community for not being aware of the problem. This to me is totally unacceptable. I don’t think that in the name of being inclusive or tolerant any of us in the community should tolerate this.” The mayor’s reasonable statements served only to further enraged the homosexuals, and they held a rally at city hall. Matt Foreman of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force called the mayor a “bigot” and said he should be “shunned everywhere he goes and not allowed at any gathering where decent people are.” City Commissioner Carlton Moore shouted, “We as a community must unite against hatred.”

No! Actually, the LGBT community must unite against homosexual behavior. That’s the real cause for all of the disease and death.

Please take our sincere, heartfelt advice, and leave the homosexual deathstyle. Health and wholeness await.
