On The 700 Club’s Wednesday, March 11, 2015, broadcast, the Christian Broadcasting Network produced a segment regarding the “good work” of Bob Creson, President and CEO of Wycliffe Bible Translators and their outreach to the world through their various translations of the Bible, but what they aren’t telling us is how Wycliffe Bible Translators, rewrote the Bible for over one billion Muslims to read by aligning their Arabic version of the New Testament with the Qur’an which teaches:
They say: Allah has taken a son (to Himself)! Glory be to Him: He is the Self-sufficient: His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; you have no authority for this; do you say against Allah what you do not know? (Sûrah 10:68)
By denying Jesus as the Son of God, they deny the Deity of Christ, His relationship with the Father and the only name given under Heaven whereby we can be saved (Acts 4:12) . By renaming YAWA, “Allah,” they also deny who the God of the Bible is. Many ignorant people readily accept the myth that Allah is synonymous for god. The truth is that Allah is a proper name being a conjugation of the Arabic word ilaha which stands for god in the same way Godfrey is a proper name and a conjugation of the English word “God.”
In doing research for a book on Islam, we came up with the following information regarding the heretical publishing house, Wycliffe, and how they perverted their Arabic translation of the Bible making it Islamic Compliant:
In a 2012 unapologetic violation of Deuteronomy 4:2 and Revelation 22:18-19, the publishing house, Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL), took it on themselves—in an effort to pacify the sensitivities of Muslims—to remove all ninety-one references to Jesus, as the Son of God and changed Jesus’ own words in Matthew 28:19 from, “Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,” to “Cleanse them by water in the name of Allah, his Messiah and his Holy Spirit.”
What do we find in the Bible regarding taking such liberties with Scripture? What does the Bible say about changing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ? The early Church was also exposed to those who preached another Christ as we can see in the biblical book of Galatians which should serve as a warning to the sacrilegious publishers of Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Summer Institute of Linguistics who know better:
I marvel that you are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ (Galatians 1:6-10).
Nevertheless, God warns us about such heretics. “Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denies the Father and the Son. Whosoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father: he that acknowledges the Son has the Father also (1 John 2:22-23).
The Apostle Peter also observes the type of men who purposefully corrupt the Word of God when he warns, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who secretly shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction” (2 Peter 2:1).
As Christians living in what many of us believe to be the “Last Days,” those of us who have been blessed with a platform that reaches many people must be very careful who we lift up and thereby—associating them with ourselves—lending credibility to those who actively destroy and pervert the Word of God, thus teaching the doctrine of demons.
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (1 Timothy 4:1).
It would appear after watching The 700 Club’s March 11 broadcast that we have arrived at that time spoken of in Scripture.
Please understand. I enjoy watching The 700 Club and have had the honor of appearing on this program in the past. It should also be pointed out that The 700 Club offers an expose on Islam titled, “Islam: Religion of Peace or War,” free to those who request it. To be fair, many times the producers of segments are not fully aware of the background of all those they interview and because of Wycliffe’s previous good reputation, we cannot totally fault CBN for this misguided segment lending credibility to Bob Creson and his Wycliffe heretical publishing company. Having said that, I still fully support the 700 Club; nevertheless, I hope CBN will be more careful in the future.
