Kentucky Juvenile Department Bans Biblical Counseling

The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice revoked the volunteer credentials of an ordained minister because he was unable to sign a statement promising to refrain from ever telling juvenile inmates that they could change homosexual activity.

Liberty Counsel has as the department to reinstate David Wells’ volunteer visitor credentials.

Pastor Wells has served as a volunteer for over 10 years, faithfully visiting and mentoring  juveniles at the juvenile detention center.

Many juveniles are in custody because of sexual crimes committed against them. Pastor Wells must be able to discuss what the Bible says about matters of sexuality and that there’s hope and change and forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
