Tennessee becomes the first state legislature to condemn the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against Israel.
In a Joint Resolution which passed unanimously in the Tennessee Senate and by an overwhelming 93-1 House vote, the state condemned what State Rep. Sheila Butt called the “blatantly anti-Semitic, anti-Israel bigotry,” and sent “a clear message that Tennessee condemns such views.”
The bill was initiated by Laurie Cardoza-Moore who said, “With the current climate of increasing anti-Semitism, anti-Israel, and anti-Zionist campaigns, Tennesseans and all people of conscience should endorse public statements of support for our Jewish brethren…”
Ask your State Rep to introduce a pro-Israel resolution.
