The Ohio Heartbeat Bill passed the House Health Committee by a vote of 11-6 on Thursday, moving the protection of babies whose heartbeats can be heard one step closer to becoming law.

Testifying for the bill was Lauran Bunting who held her beautiful five-year-old daughter in her arms, a daughter who was conceived in rape. Lauren said, ” “abortion wasn’t going to erase the rape…it would have only escalated the violence that I had already experienced. It would have transferred the violence to my unborn daughter.”

Not one Republican voted for the Rape/Incest exception following this powerful testimony.   The Heartbeat Bill must now pass on the floor of the Ohio House before moving to the Senate and Governor John Kasich’s desk before the clock runs out next month.

Please pray for this important bill to pass.
