The US Embassy in Israel Belongs in Jerusalem
Faith and Freedom with Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver, and BarbWire Founder Matt Barber… An 11-minute weekday radio program discussing hot topics in the area of religious liberty, the sanctity of human life and the family.
The U.S. Embassy in Israel belongs in the eternal capital of Israel, and that is Jerusalem. It’s always been Jerusalem, and that’s where our embassy should be moved. This is a pledge from President Donald Trump.
Mat Staver: President Trump, when he was candidate Trump, pledged to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. In fact, Liberty Counsel in our Defense of Israel Ministry was part of a letter that was sent to then-Candidate Trump the week before the election. And other pro-Israel organizations signed on to that letter and we asked him to pledge several things. One of which was to move the embassy to Jerusalem, the eternal, undivided capital of Israel.
He signed that the week before the actual general election. He has continued to insist that that is his pledge and it needs to move forward. There is some discussion, at least in the media, if you can believe them, that perhaps one of the members of his cabinet, General Mattis, wants to just simply follow the typical U.S. policy and not move it.
but I believe…
