The Art and the Rock: Is Christ in the Music?

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.” – Lamentations 3:22

There are some who will rise (and maybe not).

There are others who fall. They are sold out and were never right at all. They are those who claim to be of the faith. Yet they dread to be labeled and know not their place. They may allude to Christ every other song, but they fail to even utter His Name. They are on the right ‘label.’ It’s the reason they came. But they misplaced the verse and lost the refrain.

There are those who fail to take a stand. They sing sweet nothings and have no plan. Their art dare not be so righteously rude. Their message is vague, sugar-coated and moot. Social justice is wrought. It’s their liberal default. The verse misapplied, they buried the thought.

However, there are some who have gotten it right. Armed with heavy hearts and bold proclamations, they took a chance and seized their day. They’ve made their mark and brought the light. They shared their gold and wear the pain. Let’s pray for those who paved a way. (Let’s pray for those who still remain). They may yet now proceed estranged. We die sinners if we thus remain. So open the door. Your loss is great gain.

O rid us of this evil, Lord
And turn our hearts by cross or sword
Our nation cannot long afford
To live beneath your judgements

In America
We’re slaves to be free
In America
We kill the unborn to make ends meet
In America
Sexuality is democracy
In America we stamp our dollar
“In God We Trust”

We’ve all seen the evil of this world
And we feel so helpless with all the lies
Everyone believes somewhere there’s love
Darkness is just a speck in the light

Hear the trumpets hear the pipers
One hundred million angels singin’
Multitudes are marchin’ to the big kettledrum
Voices callin’, voices cryin’
Some are born and some are dyin’
It’s alpha and omega’s kingdom come

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” – Psalm 100

Hating Jesus: The American Left's War on Christianity

Matt Barber with Paul Hair

The secular left doesn’t merely have a disagreement with Christianity. These are not people with whom one may reason, compromise or even disagree. They are dedicated to evil. They demand nothing less than the abolition of the biblical worldview, and the destruction of Christ’s followers right along with it.

Now is the time to fight back. If you are someone, Christian or not, who refuses to see Christianity wiped out (like it ever could be) and your children indoctrinated into pure evil, then sitting on the sidelines is no longer an option.
