Another Christian, a Mennonite Pastor, Jailed
(1 min Audio Report – Faith2Action)
“[W]e have chosen to obey God.”
Those words from Pastor Kenneth Miller, a Mennonite pastor sentenced to 27 months in jail for helping former lesbian Lisa Miller and her biological daughter Isabella flee a Vermont Court order. That order mandated unsupervised visits for Isabella with Lisa’s former “partner,” lesbian Janet Jenkins.
Vermont Judge Richard Cohen refused to rescind the order despite testimony from Miller and several expert witnesses that Isabella suffered psychological trauma from the forced, unsupervised visits.
Pastor Miller said, “We are willing to give up our rights, go to jail, or even die, for the cause of helping anyone become free from a sinful life and helping that person to live in obedience to God’s Word.”
