Georgia House Considers Bill Protecting Students Rights to Pray in School
(1 min Audio Report – Freedom’s Call)
With growing confusion and misinformation about school prayer, the Georgia legislature introduced a bipartisan bill that would allow students to pray before, during, and after school.
House Bill 618 is currently in the judicial committee. While the Constitution already grants this freedom, a state law expressing those freedoms would give schools a clearer picture of their proper role toward religious expression of their students.
With “See You At the Pole” and many other individual students expressing their religious beliefs, this bill hopes to inform students of their rights.
