New Yorkers Fight Requirement to Host Lesbian Wedding In Their Home
(1 min Audio Report – Freedom’s Call)
A couple had remodeled a barn as their home, and occasionally hosted a wedding on their property. In 2012 a lesbian couple demanded the farm for their wedding ceremony. The owners, Cynthia and Robert Gifford, declined the wedding, because of their religious beliefs, but then did offer to host the reception.
Since then they have been facing a mountain of legal fines, court dates and appeals because of their sincerely held religious beliefs and their desire to manage their personal property in a manner that honors God.
During their appeal, the judges were very focused on their constitutional rights of religious freedom.
Please pray for this case as a ruling is expected sometime in 2016.
