Schuler’s Bakery

Ohio Bakery Hangs ‘Politically Incorrect’ Sign – Liberals Explode, Conservatives Smile

A small family bakery in Ohio recently became famous for reason other than their fine baked goods. When the owners of Schuler’s Bakery in Springfield Ohio put up a sign on their front door they never expected it to go viral on the Internet… but go viral it did.

“Notice: This store is politically incorrect. We say Merry Christmas, God bless America, we salute our flag & give thanks to our troops, police officers and firefighters. If this offends you, you are welcome to LEAVE. In God we trust. Schuler’s Bakery

The sign quickly spread across the Internet, sparking mean-spirited replies as well as notes of support. In the store itself, there hasn’t been much of a change, but employees of the bakery say that business is booming and they owe it all to the sign.

“We didn’t do it for the publicity. It was just to prove a point,” store employee Katelynn Jackson said during an interview with the Blaze. She also added that even though the publicity seems to have increased their traffic, they’ve lost a few customers to the controversy. “Some won’t come anymore,” but the point of the sign seems to be what matters most to those at the bakery, “We still live in America, and we’re standing up for what we believe.”

Schuler’s bakery and their employees should be commended for their willingness to speak truth and be themselves in a world that demands they conform or be destroyed. They’ve risked their own profits to stand for what they believe, and this is exactly what America used to be about. While some may not like the message, this is the very point of free speech, and any business or person who wishes to voice their beliefs should be free to do so.
