I Don’t Support Trump but I Do Support Him Destroying the GOP and Conservatism

avatar

I’m not a supporter of Donald Trump for president. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like what he is doing for the country by being in (and leading) the Republican presidential primary. And the thing I most like about what he is doing for the country is his destruction of the corrupt and malevolent Republican Party and conservative establishment.

One of my posts yesterday at TrumpTheMedia.com acknowledged that Trump is not a conservative and he wouldn’t have been a viable Republican candidate in years past. At the same time, that post acknowledged that people are now supporting Trump because the ruling class (including the ruling class of the GOP and conservatism) is outrageous, constantly betrays the American people, is hypocritical, corrupt, and deviant. In short, the ruling class created Trump.

And it seems as if every day brings a new example of just how depraved the ruling class truly is. Here is one example from today, courtesy of the Boston Globe.

“Without Tom pushing it, I don’t think we would have had Romneycare,” Romney said. “Without Romneycare, I don’t think we would have Obamacare. So without Tom, a lot of people wouldn’t have health insurance.”

The “Romney” mentioned is Mitt Romney. He was speaking in reference to his friend, “Thomas G. Stemberg, who cofounded Staples Inc. and invented the office superstore. . . .” Stemberg passed away today.

I understand people say nice things about others when they die. And I understand that Romney tried to walk back his praise for Obamacare. But neither of these things excuse what he said.

Romney had no reason to mention Obamacare in his statement. And his Facebook attempt to “clarify” what he meant only serves to show that he accidentally spoke the truth in his first statement. He likes Obamacare. He admits that Romneycare led to it.

And this means that there now is no more debate about it: The Republican Party literally ran a Democrat as their nominee for the 2012 presidential election. I’ve long known it, others have known it too, and now it’s plain for the world to see.

Obamacare is no small thing or laughing matter. I’ve just lost my health insurance because of it . . . for the second time since it came into existence. I’m now at the point where I almost can no longer afford health insurance.
