Police Reject Atheists’ Demands against Motto
(1 min Audio Report – Freedom’s Call)
A police department rejected Wisconsin atheists’ demands that they remove our nation’s motto, “In God We Trust” from the police vehicles because it was it was a Christian message.
The Childress, Texas, police chief clearly stated, “After carefully reading your letter I must deny your request in the removal of our Nations motto from our patrol units, and ask that you and the Freedom From Religion Foundation go fly a kite.”
Possibly raised due to the attention raised over this issue, the Grand police department received their order of “In god We Trust” decals to place on the back of their vehicles.
While the atheist groups hope to restrict one department’s free expression, now there are at least 2 in Texas and more across the nation.
