The GOP Quislings’ Anti-Planned Parenthood Indignation: Idolatrous Posturing?
And he said unto another, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.” Jesus said unto him, “Let the dead bury the dead: but go thou and preach the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:60)
…for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? (1 Corinthians 15:50-55)
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie. (Revelation 22:10-15)
In a straight party-line vote the GOP’s dog on a leash effort to defund Planned Parenthood has again met with defeat in the U.S. Senate, as anyone familiar with U.S. Senate rules and procedures expected. This despite the sincere intentions of the young people whose efforts have produced new video evidence that goes to prove the abortion advocacy group’s willingness not only to illegally market the mortal remains of aborted human infants on a per part basis, but also to commit overtly criminal medical procedures to render “more intact” infants for trafficking.
In several of the articles written in reaction against Planned Parenthood’s involvement in the human specimen trade, people noted the incongruity of a world in which many of the same people who react with dismay against the slaughter of a popular lion in Zimbabwe, are vociferously defensive about Planned Parenthood’s abortion industry profiteering.
I actually find it more incongruous that not a few of the same GOP politicians purporting to react with horror to the commercial exploitation of human fetal remains, nonetheless promote or acquiesce in the lie that there can be some fundamental human right involved in the murderous activity that supplies them in the first place. The U.S. Senate vote is carefully staged, however, to produce a result they can cite as “factual” evidence when they say “I am personally pro-life,” or words to that effect.
Tragically those words don’t mean that they actually abhor the crime against humanity Planned Parenthood promotes or that they reject the legal travesty that enforces its continued existence which is the specious jurisprudence of so-called “abortion rights.” Instead, in their usual fashion, they stir up a cloud of witnesses to attest to a vote against the hardness of heart that is a consequence of the U.S. Supreme Court’s unconstitutional abortion regime, while in fact embracing the continuation of its unjust authority.
Are they not, therefore, among those who, as the Scripture says, love and make a lie?
This is particularly worth pondering, given the nature of the lie. For it encourages people to react more strongly against the commercial exploitation of dead bodies than against the murderous violation of God-endowed unalienable right that purports to legalize the business of abortion that makes them dead. It falsely encourages people to grieve at the irreverence shown for corpses, when they should be acting on the righteous indignation that true conscience stirs against the heinous murder of living souls.
Please think this through. It helps to understand Christ’s seemingly callous disregard for the grief of the pious son who wanted leave to bury his father before joining the ministry of Christ. Whatever mercy there is in respect for the dead, Christ sternly admonished him to give priority to the living, which is to say, those who preach the kingdom of God and His justice.
But when it comes to the contemporary practice of murdering nascent human beings, what is the justice of God? Does His justice consist in conniving at the murders, but fulminating when profits are made from the corpses they produce? Does it consist in conniving at the legalistic proclamation that some right is involved in murdering the innocent? How can that be so when such murder is an abomination, counted among the things God hates (Proverbs 6:16-19)?
Of course, given the treacherous record of the GOP quislings, the cloud of sincerely well-intentioned witnesses being stirred against the hardness of heart inevitably engendered by Planned Parenthood’s promotion of evil will probably turn out to be a deceitful fog generated by the GOP’s quisling leaders to obscure their continued complicity in the regime of lawless, anti-constitutional edicts that purports to legalize that evil, licensing those who practice and promote it. Like so much else in the increasingly depraved legal and political culture engendered by the elitist faction’s twin party sham, this smacks of the self-idolatry that motivates the elitist faction’s implacable war against God.
For the elitist faction’s would-be tyrants are like the would-be tyrant Macbeth in Shakespeare’s play (Act I, Sc. 3), whom the poet addressed as “nothing afear’d of what thyself didst make, strange images of death.” The abortion cult, and all its fellow worshipers and disciples, worship man’s self-made images of death. So instead of acting out true indignation at the breach of the commandment of the living God (“Thou shalt not murder!”), they make a false show of reverence for the infant corpses man has produced in defiance of God’s will. They give more worth, thereby, to the lifeless images of their making (idols) than they do to the word of life that falls from the mouth of God.
Thus, slyly they induce people of goodwill to ignore Christ’s admonition against becoming so preoccupied with reverence for dead bodies that displaces what ought to be our first priority, i.e., to live out the preachment of the commands by which God demanded respect for human life. From all creatures He demands an accounting if and when they murderously assault the image of true life He engraved in human nature. For by that assault they disrespect the high intent with which He, the Living God, imparted being to the words “Let us make man, in our image and after our likeness.”
