Old Fashioned Thanksgiving
(1 min Audio Report – Faith2Action)
Thanksgiving the old fashioned way.
I’m not talking about turkey and pumpkin pie. I’m talking about being thankful in a traditional way to the people you don’t really take time to thank.
You see, there’s something that shows gratitude that’s beyond a phone call, text, or email–It’s a hand-written thank you note. I love getting them. Hate writing them. I’ve been praying for that to change.
What if this Thanksgiving, you wrote each family member a “Thank You Note” for the things you appreciate about them? The sibling who helps with the dishes, the one who helps cook, the thoughtful one who does things no one else thinks about.
Ok, if you don’t have time to write them today, spend a moment around the table thanking God for more than the food. Then, go around the table once more to thank each other.
