New York Radio Hosts Fired for Transgender Remarks

Two popular radio personalities in upstate New York have been fired from their morning radio program The Breakfast Buzz on 98.9 WBZA for their on-air comments about transgender individuals.

When they made their politically incorrect statements, Kimberly Ray and Barry Beck were discussing the city of Rochester’s ridiculous decision to begin covering gender reassignment surgeries as of Jan. 1 for transgender city employees. And the gender dysphoria mob immediately kicked their transfascist efforts into overdrive.

“So the dude can look like a lady and the city is going to pay for it!” Ray said during the live broadcast. She also called cross-dressers “nut jobs.” Beck, on the other hand, compared the situation to having the taxpayers fund breast enhancement or liposuction for a mentally ill woman. Maybe their language was a little crude, but the concerns they vocalized are actually quite reasonable. Neurotic fantasies should not be fostered or financed by any fiscally responsible city.

“What we heard on the radio could be defined as nothing more than hate speech,” said Scott Fearing of the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley, “It was bullying of the worst kind.” The real bullies, however, are the ones who find it necessary to force the hard-working residents of Rochester to subsidize their militant deviancy agenda.

According to Entercom, “Their hateful comments against the transgender community do not represent our station or our company. We deeply apologize to the transgender community, the community of Rochester and anyone else who was offended by their comments.”

However, there were some level-headed thoughts expressed following the incident in question.

Assemblyman Bill Nojay, who himself has a conservative talk radio show, warned “We shouldn’t be firing people, terminating their employment, ending their livelihood because you disagree with them. Let’s have that open debate. That’s what radio and television is for. It’s chilling.” In fact, it should put shivers down the spines of every freedom-loving American.

“We’re reaching a point in society so many people are saying so many things people disagree with,” Nojay added. “If everybody got fired for having opinions, there’s not going to be a whole lot of people with opinions out there and that’s a dangerous thing in a democracy.” Unfortunately, democracy is of little or no concern to those that are hell-bent on establishing a perverse fascist regime.

Wednesday’s controversial show generated about 4,000 signatures by Thursday on a petition to remove the duo from the airwaves. Ultimately, they were both fired Thursday morning.

The message is unmistakeably clear: offend a member of the protected LGBTQ class and heads will roll. Immediately.
