Time Warner Political Conference 2008 – Day 2

Ron Reagan: I’m a ‘lifelong atheist, not afraid of burning in Hell’

Sometimes you have to wonder if the apple even came from the same tree. In a snarky ad for the “Freedom From Religion Foundation” (FFRF), an anti-Christian extremist group, Ron Reagan, younger son of the late, great President Ronald Reagan, proudly declares that he is an “unabashed atheist” who is “alarmed by the intrusions of religion into our secular government.” Mr. Reagan smugly signs off with, “Ron Reagan: Lifelong atheist, not afraid of burning in Hell.” (Watch the ad below).

Ron, as your Creator and Lord declares: “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18).

Repent, believe upon and ask forgiveness of the Lord of the universe, Jesus Christ, and you will have nothing to fear. Refuse to do so and your foolishness and arrogant God-denial in this life will be replaced with an eternal fear and torment that your finite brain cannot even begin to fathom.

Ron, neither Christ, nor we, His followers, desire to see you or any other God-denier, including the angry, rebellious members of the FFRF, “burn in Hell.”

You’re an open-minded liberal, right? Though you don’t believe, try this. With a sincere spirit of probing for truth, say this out loud: “Jesus, if you’re there, please reveal yourself to me. If you are real and Hell is real, I don’t want to go there. I open my heart to the possibility that You are who You say You are. Please show me.”

At BarbWire, we’re praying for you, the FFRF and all who deny Christ Jesus, who is “the Way, the Truth and the Life.”
