Was Golden State Warriors’ Coach Fired By A Homosexual for His Christian Faith?

The recent termination of the Golden State Warriors’ coach came after he had guided the Warriors to back-to-back playoff appearances and the team’s two best records since 1994. But what makes this move especially odd is the fact that the Oakland-based team executives were negotiating a contract extension as early as last year with coach Mark Jackson, and then all of a sudden, he’s unexpectedly released on May 6.

So, despite the fact that Jackson led the Warriors’ to their best stretch in 20 years, was he fired for his outspoken Christian faith by the organization’s homosexual president?

That’s the theory being advanced, not by a conservative, a fellow Christian or even a Republican, but a liberal San Francisco columnist.

LifeSiteNews reports:

A liberal sports columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle is speculating that the recent firing of Golden State Warriors’ basketball coach Mark Jackson may have come down to his Christian faith being a poor fit for the San Francisco-based team in the mind of its openly homosexual president. Jackson also pastors a church in the Los Angeles area.

“Were there questions about fit between Mark Jackson and the Warriors going forward?,” owner Joe Lacob asked. “Yes, and that’s obviously why we made the decision.” While it may be hard to figure out how winning doesn’t exactly fit well with a NBA franchise, it does make sense that a homosexual owner might not be too comfortable with Jackson’s traditional beliefs.

“Everything about Jackson was under scrutiny, which includes his very public persona as a religious man,” wrote Ann Killion at SFGate.com. “It was probably not at the top of the list, but was probably on the list.”

“I’ve often wondered how comfortable it was for Jackson and team president Rick Welts to co-exist in the same organization,” Killion mused. “Welts is openly gay, becoming the first high-ranking executive in professional sports to come out back in 2011. He’s a strong, professional leader who is excellent at his job.  Jackson is a fundamental Christian, who embraces what some call ‘traditional values.’ And he wasn’t shy about letting people know his views.”

Also, when Jason Collins “came out” in 2011 as the first openly homosexual NBA player, Jackson made this “less-than-supportive” statement: “We live in a country that allows you to be whoever you want to be. As a Christian man, I serve a God that gives you free will to be who you want to be. As a Christian man, I have beliefs of what’s right and what’s wrong. That being said, I know Jason Collins, I know his family, and am certainly praying for them at this time.”

Jackson’s unwillingness to make a full embrace of Collins’ self-destructive lifestyle choice was certainly enough to spark the ire of the homosexual activists. And Killion mocked Jackson for “praying for someone who decided to live an honest life,” and said the pastor’s words “created a very strange vibe, especially for a Bay Area team in the 21st century.”

“It was probably not the image the Warriors wanted to project, especially as they lobbied hard to move to San Francisco,” Killion continued. After all, Jackson’s views wouldn’t be warmly welcomed in a city with one of our nation’s largest homosexual populations. Tolerance is a one-way street for the perversion crowd.

In stark contrast, Miami Dolphins safety Don Jones was fined, banned and sent off to “re-education” camp to receive his liberal lobotomy by the NFL after he posted “OMG” and “Horrible” on Twitter in response to a televised sloppy, cake-smeared homosexual kiss between Michael Sam, the first openly “gay” player drafted 249th into the NFL, and his boyfriend, Vito Cammisano. The homosexual tyrants will not permit dissent from their agenda of debauchery. Mock the Christian faith of Tim Tebow, and that’s more than okay, but dare to step out of line with the homofascist dogma, and you will be punished.

After Sam’s late seventh round selection by the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, President Barack Obama made sure to send him an official congratulatory message: “The President congratulates Michael Sam, the Rams and the NFL for taking an important step forward today in our Nation’s journey. From the playing field to the corporate boardroom, LGBT Americans prove everyday that you should be judged by what you do and not who you are.” If the president truly cared about the guy, he would have warned him about the dangers associated with the homosexual lifestyle — not pat him on the back on his way to death and destruction.

Given the intolerant, pro-homosexual atmosphere that is beginning to pervade professional sports, it certainly wouldn’t surprise anyone if Jackson’s Christian faith and his refusal to celebrate sexual deviancy were critical factors in his sudden dismissal from the team.

He wasn’t the first and he sadly won’t be the last person to have a high-profile professional career destroyed by the hateful members of Big Gay — they’re going for the jugular these days. And getting a lot smarter about hiding the true reasons for their mean-spirited actions.

Hating Jesus: The American Left's War on Christianity

Matt Barber with Paul Hair

The secular left doesn’t merely have a disagreement with Christianity. These are not people with whom one may reason, compromise or even disagree. They are dedicated to evil. They demand nothing less than the abolition of the biblical worldview, and the destruction of Christ’s followers right along with it.

Now is the time to fight back. If you are someone, Christian or not, who refuses to see Christianity wiped out (like it ever could be) and your children indoctrinated into pure evil, then sitting on the sidelines is no longer an option.
