VIDEO: O’Reilly: ‘Oppose Gay Marriage, You Could Get Hurt’

On Monday, FOX News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” ran a segment in which the host Bill O’Reilly stated that “one of the reasons why ‘gay marriage’ has come on so strong in the U.S.A. is intimidation — if you oppose, you may become a target.” He began by citing Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich, who was  forced to resign for donating $1,000 to California’s Prop 8 traditional marriage effort back in 2008. But then O’Reilly pointed to Richard Kim, executive editor of the very liberal website TheNation.com, who recently stated on MSNBC that many of his homosexual activist friends actually want to target all of the approximately 6,500 people who gave the same amount, or more, as Eich did for Prop 8.

“You oppose ‘gay marriage,’ you could get hurt.” Bill observed, and then asked Juan Williams, “That’s one of the reasons that a lot of people don’t say a word, is it not?”

“That’s incontrovertible,” the left-leaning Williams admitted.

However, Williams tried to dismiss the Eich debacle as purely a business decision on the part of Mozilla.

“It’s a different issue than the one you’re defining.” Bill objected, “Here’s the issue: All American consumers have a right to go where they want to go … big difference, saying if you donate money to a traditional marriage cause, we’re going to hurt you, gonna hurt you, gonna find out where you live, we’re gonna try to take your job, maybe do vandalism to your home. Big, big difference.”

“There’s no more robust debate, now there are threats and demonization. And that unfortunately has put gay marriage over the top. That is the technique that turned the tide — intimidation and harm,” O’Reilly further asserted.

“The pitch was ‘live and let live,’” Mary Katharine Ham stated, “and that was something people were receptive to, but this doesn’t feel like that … there’s a huge outrage about anything that anyone says, any tiny little bit ‘wrong.’”

O’Reilly concluded the discussion with these words, “I don’t believe there’s going to be a backlash because I believe that most people are going to say, ‘you know what, the h*ll with it.’”

That’s exactly why they homosexual intimidation tactics have worked so well: they have had a chilling effect upon many natural marriage supporters. People are surrendering their First Amendment right to free speech out of fear.

Hating Jesus: The American Left's War on Christianity

Matt Barber with Paul Hair

The secular left doesn’t merely have a disagreement with Christianity. These are not people with whom one may reason, compromise or even disagree. They are dedicated to evil. They demand nothing less than the abolition of the biblical worldview, and the destruction of Christ’s followers right along with it.

Now is the time to fight back. If you are someone, Christian or not, who refuses to see Christianity wiped out (like it ever could be) and your children indoctrinated into pure evil, then sitting on the sidelines is no longer an option.
