(Video) Hey, Dummies: Dr. Ben Carson’s CPAC message for you on marriage
It was classic Dr. Ben Carson on Saturday at CPAC. He fired up the crowd with a rousing speech. The irrepressible Dr. Carson vowed to continue his fight against the PC police.
“I hate PC,” Dr. Carson stated emphatically, “and I will continue to defy the PC police who have tried in many cases to shut me up.”
Dr. Carson then proceeded to boldly double down on his previous statements about marriage.
I still believe marriage is between a man and woman.
Sounding all “Fred Sanford” (the fictional character portrayed by Redd Foxx), He also slammed his critics and the members of the media who claimed that he compared same-sex “marriage” to bestiality as “dummies.”
“Because I said nobody gets to change the definition of marriage, and because I happened to mention some categories, they said, ‘Carson said gay marriage and bestiality are the same thing,’” he told the cheering CPAC crowd.
“Well, that’s preposterous. Anybody who believes that is a dummy. But anybody who believes somebody who says somebody said that is also a dummy.”
“Of course, gay people should have the same rights as everyone else,” he continued, “but they don’t get extra rights. They don’t get to re-define marriage.”
Way to tell, em’, Dr. Carson. More power to ya!
